Hawai‘i Green Growth is committed to building a more resilient and sustainable future for Hawai‘i. Hawai‘i Green Growth serves as the backbone organization for the Aloha+ Challenge, and coordinates a broad stakeholder base to identify areas for statewide action on Hawai‘i’s 2030 sustainability goals. The partnership honors a collaborative and integrated approach to achieve environmental, social, and economic prosperity for future generations. Hawaiian culture and values are the bedrock the Aloha+ Challenge and Hawai‘i Green Growth, providing a trust-based framework to promote system-level change across Hawai‘i. 

Hawai‘i Green Growth Structure

Hawai'i Green Growth is a multi-sector partnership that formed in 2011. The structure comprises of a Working Group, Advisors, Steering Committee, Teams, and a small coordination unit.

Hawai'i Green Growth is fully funded by HGG members, advisors, & partners, and works with local fiscal sponsor Tri-Isle Resource and Development Council

Working Group & Advisors
The Hawai'i Green Growth Working Group has over 40 members from both public and private entities that are actively engaged in advancing the group's priorities. The partnership also has over 40 Advisors that help and support HGG's work as needed.

Steering Committees
The Hawai'i Green Growth Steering Committee provides strategic focus, leadership, and direction for the partnership. The Steering Committee includes a lead for each sector and at least one of the leads for each active HGG Team.

Teams
The partnership functions through small multi-sector HGG Teams that focus on action around the partnership's identified priorities. One or more voluntary Chairs lead each HGG Team. Active HGG Teams include: Green Funding & Legislative, International, Sustainability Measures & Partnership, Communications, Micronesia Biosecurity Plan, Fisheries & Ocean Management, Green Job & Business Creation, Waste Reduction.

Coordination
Hawai'i Green Growth is currently staffed by a half-time Senior Advisor and full-time Assistant Coordinator. All other roles played within the partnership are through the voluntary contribution of the HGG Working Group as the partnership's priorities overlap with member's existing work.
